I have to mention the Scandinavian kid, Helge Leifvang (sp?) , the true midfield frosh. He played a terrific holding midfield. You have to watch this kid to appreciate all the little nuances that he does in holding the midfield form. A terrific talent and I believe he's got MLS written all over him. As I said before he's reminds me of those tough Eastern European players (Bulgaria Hristo Stoichcov...my fav) going back some. He has very good foot skills, plays within himself and is a rangy player that is very good in the air.

This class of Sunny Jane, Patrick Mullins, Leifvang, the Austrialian kid Muir is a really really good class. And I'm not mentioning Jeremy Raley and Marquez (both being RS). Future looks bright.

Hey TMAN when you said " all the little nuances that he does " it sort of made me think of Mike Marchione contributions to that last championship team. He never got a lot of accolades at Maryland, but he sure helped that machine run smoothly. I guess we could call them " catalyst" .

Your reference to Stoichcov made me look him up on Wiki. I did not realize it has been that long since he was European Football Player of the Year. I always thought he played in the English Premier league.

By the way, my favorite international player has always been Archie Gemmill " The Sniffer ". You have to love that Nickname !!!!
