One of the consistent yardsticks used by the doubters was that progress would be measured in part by us not getting blown out every time we face one of the B1G power teams. Between the team's performance at Michigan, against OSU yesterday, and overall record, are we showing progress? Is it time to move the goalposts again? Enquiring minds want to know.

As I looked at the pictures of Terp All-Americans and other banners on the concourse I was embarrassed as to how faded they are. This is supposed to honor the best that have played for the Terps! Our facilities department should take some pride replace the pictures once they start to fad.

Looks like this is happening. Wow. A lot of folks seemed to think it was Leonhard's job to lose.

Vs DePaul at 11:00 am from 3-day tournament in Fort Myers, FL. Game can be seen on FS2. Should be high scoring affair as DePaul averages 89 ppg, coming off win over Miami as they scored 98 points in the win. Also, Diamond just scored career-high 32 in her last game for Terps.

The Eagles are led by former Terps All-American and national champion Juan Dixon, who is in his 6th season at the helm for Coppin.

Coppin State enters Friday's game versus Maryland on a two-game skid, having lost at Marshall and most recently at Towson on Tuesday. The Eagles also gave Georgetown a scare earlier this season, taking Patrick Ewing's team to overtime before finally falling to the Hoyas by a score of 99-89.

The Eagles are led by a senior point guard who's name should be familiar to Terp fans. Penn State transfer Sam Sessoms enter's Friday's game in College Park as the nation's 12th-leading scorer, averaging 22.0 points per game. The last time Sessoms played the Terps in College Park, he went off for 17 points in a PSU loss last season. It was the lone meeting between the Terps and Nittany Lions.

Maryland has advantages across the board versus Coppin and as double-digit favorites should be able to put the Eagles away early.

Watch and listen to what is being said. Woulda, coulda, shoulda., but contrary to all the hype of today's players at the UMD, this was a great time to be a Maryland fan. Yes not this game so much but the place was packed.

Travis Graf with an update from 2024 top-25 St. John's (D.C.) four-star forward Donnie Freeman from this past weekend. Terps are squarely in the mix here and he's a top target as the Terps look to continue to add quality bigs. Interestingly, it sounds like Iowa will get an official visit soon. Expect the Terps to remain involved in this one until the end.
