The Terps will be looking for their third win of the season over Minnesota on Thursday night when the two teams take the court in Chicago. The Terps have dominated the Gophers in their two meetings this season, winning by an average margin of 26.5 points.

Minnesota is coming off of a 78-75 win over Nebraska on Wednesday night. The Gophers were led by sophomore forward Dawson Garcia who scored a team-high 18 points, pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and also added six assists, a block and a steal.

For Maryland, the Terps will be looking to get senior forward Donta Scott back on track after he scored just a single point versus Penn State in the final game of the regular season. In fact, Scott has scored in single figures in 5 of the last 7 games.

“I don't think people give Donta enough credit, first, for what he does on the defensive end," said Maryland head coach Kevin Willard. "I think he's a little worn out and I need to give him a break every once in a while. He plays so darn hard, I think he's worn himself out when he gets to the offensive end. He just doesn't have as much in the tank as he did earlier. I just think I need to do a better job of getting him a little bit of a break every here and then. Again, I don't like not having him on the floor so again, that's a little bit my fault. Because I feel when he's out there he does good things even though he's struggling to score right now.”

Despite having won both meetings with Minnesota, the Terps are taking things one game at a time now that they are in the postseason and it is single-game elimination.

Rivals All-Big Ten team

The Rivals Big Ten publishers/writers did our own All-Big Ten team this year. I put it up on the homepage and I'll link to it below. I'll also show my selections below, as well. Honestly, I was a bit surprised Young ended up 2nd team, but there is always recency bias and he had maybe his worst game of the season in the loss at Ohio State. I personally had Willard as COY, but I did my selections on Saturday and honestly after Sunday, I probably should have picked Chris Collins.

See the Rivals team HERE.

OT: I'm no attorney, but...

Seems to me like they just lifted the script Terps logo and trademarked it. Why wouldn't I be surprised if we didn't own the trademark to our own damn nickname.

Spring Sports Status....GEEZ...The State Of The Turtle

Don't shoot the messenger...

Wrestling team is in a humiliating last place at B1G tourney.

#2 Women's lacrosse has now lost 3 games already.

#1 Men's lacrosse has now already lost more than last 2 years combined.

#13, the highest-ranked Terps baseball preseason ranking ever (i think) has now been decimated and already lost 7, the most recent today after getting spanked by Hawaii...(HAWAII? WTF) and getting swept in the Minnesota tournament in embarrassing fashion....bye-bye any ranking and we only play chumps for next 3 weeks+ so no redemption opportunities anytime soon.

And now basketball....as predicted here, a loser at State Penn that destroys our double-bye dreams in a Turgeon-esque end-of-the-year meltdown.

WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED IN CP?

Things looked so promising in so many sports coming into February.

Now? We hang onto softball where we have not yet crumbled, at 14-4, though we were swept in our only B1G games so far by Minny and we just dropped out of Top 25.

And, of course, Terp women bball gonna get a great seed, but we had such a great opportunity to a #1 seed...argh
