Says he still has a lot of confidence in this team. They need to make the necessary corrections and will continue to prepare Mon-Fri. Felt they had a good week of preparation leading up to this game and looking forward to playing better next week at Penn St. and getting back on track.

Did not handle the weather as well as we thought we should and that is on us for not preparing well enough.

The wind, the rain, we made adjustments. We knew because of the wind and rain it would be one of those games and we felt we had a good game plan coming into it, but clearly it didn't work out. If you watch the tape, we just didn't finish some of hte interior blocks which would have helped us have some big plays and get going on offense.

Not singling out the RBs, but they didn't do a good job blocking today, allowing the Wisconsin LB to get to Lia too often.

It wasn't a light rain, there were times it was coming down pretty good. Our center and QB were both struggling with their grip on the ball.

Wisconsin took a little better advantage of the elements than we did. It's the Big Ten, you are going to have rain and wind and we have to do better.

Mason Lunsford has been in concussion protocol since last week. Also added earlier that Rakim Jarrett suffered a lower leg injury.

Told the team that sometimes the best laid plans don't work out as well as you want them to and that is what happened today. Lia had to take his visor off of his helmet because it doesn't work well in the rain.

Figured I'd start this thread a little early today. We're a little over an hour and a half away from kickoff between the Terps and Badgers. Coming off of a bye, the Terps are perhaps the healthiest they have been since the start of the season with Lia back on offense and guys like Barham and Hyppolite expected back healthy on defense. The Badgers also get a few key players back this week, including safety Hunter Wohler. Should be a good game with the Terps likely entering the top 25 with a win.

It was ugly. Very ugly. As the Terps managed just 189 total yards of offense Saturday at Wisconsin. Yes, the weather played a factor, but no way to sugar coat it, that was one of the worst offensive performances I've ever seen. Need to forget this game even happened and have a tremendous week of practice with a trip to Happy Valley coming up next Saturday. Full recap at the link below.

Ranking toughest MBB OOC schedules. I like what Terps have done for this year - @St Louis (30th), UCLA (8th), and Tennesee (11th) - and hope they build on this trend. Every school on this list seems to get the players they want in part because they are gonna play against top talent in high profile early games, and their coaches win. I do think their is a corelation between playing these tough schedules and overall total success.

About what I expected, we open up as 5 point underdogs to the Badgers on the road. Over/Under is 50.5

I exchanged questions with Wisconsin Rivals writer Seamus Rohrer ahead of tomorrow's game in Madison. I asked about how the Badgers have responded following the firing of Paul Chryst, the health of the Badgers, the key to slowing down Braelon Allen, a final score prediction and more. I was a bit surprised to see him say the Badgers have cut down on mistakes since the firing of Chryst, especially considering in their past three games they have committed a total of 21 penalties for 209 yards. If that is cutting down on mistakes, I can't even fathom how undisciplined this team was earlier in the year! More at the link below.

ATLANTA – Senior Diamond Miller of the 17th-ranked Maryland women's basketball team is one of 50 top players in the country named to the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Women's Watch List Friday by the Atlanta Tip-Off Club.

Earlier this fall, Miller was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Watch List and the All-Big Ten Preseason-Team for the second consecutive season.

Miller, a two-time All-Big Ten honoree and 2021 Big Ten Tournament Co-MVP, is Maryland's leading returning scorer after averaging 13.1 points and 4.0 rebounds last year. Miller earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors. She scored in double figures in 17 of her 22 games played on the year.

Miller became the 36th Terrapin to reach the 1,000-career points mark with her 23-point performance in the Terps' NCAA Tournament First Round win over Delaware.

The midseason 30 team will be announced in early January, and then the competition will be narrowed down to 10 national semifinalists in early March. Following those results, four finalists will be named on March 21, 2023, and the winner of the 2023 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy for Women's Player of the Year will be announced on March 29, 2023.

The Big Ten Conference placed the most athletes on the watch list with 10.

The Terrapins will host two of last year's Final Four teams, as they play one of the toughest schedules in the country. Their out of conference schedule is highlighted by home matchups with defending national champion No. 1 South Carolina and No. 6 Connecticut, as well as road trips to No. 18 Baylor and No. 9 Notre Dame.

Maryland will officially open the 2022-23 season on Monday, Nov. 7 with a road trip to George Mason. The Terps and the Patriots will tip off at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. The Terrapins will host No. 1 South Carolina in their home opener at the XFINITY Center on Friday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.

It is Throwback Thursday once again, and today we compare the Terps starters to their Badgers counterparts. A couple of notes on this one, I listed safety Hunter Wohler as a starter, but he is coming off of a leg injury that forced him to miss the past 7 games. It is possible he doesn't start this week but he is expected to play. Also, former four-star LB Nick Herbig missed the Badgers' last game and could sit this one out, also. That said, he is not listed as OUT and they will very likely need him in what could be a tight ball game. Finally, corner Alexander Smith will likely start his second straight game after replacing Ricardo Hallman who was benched for poor play. That secondary is banged up and weak. Terps need to take advantage.

Adam Friedman lists St. Frances USC commit Sam Greene as a potential flip candidate for the Terps. Greene was at Maryland's most recent game versus Northwestern and they have a real chance of pulling this one off. Maryland defensive lineman Greg China-Rose was named a Burlsworth Trophy Nominee, per release. The award is given to the most outstanding football player in America who began his career as a walk-on.

No surprise here, but Locksley says today at his weekly press conference that Lia will play Saturday at Wisconsin. Given the fact he was practicing last week, this was pretty much expected.
