***Rutgers Game Thread***

We’re about 15 minutes from tip-off between the Terps and Rutgers in College Park.

Terps are looking to rebound from their loss at Michigan State as they are going to need to be near perfect the rest of the way just to get back on the bubble.

Getting major production from Young and Scott is obviously a must, but they have to get SOME offensive production from the freshmen if they want to play in the postseason.

Will also be looking for a bounce back game from Reese.

Game can be seen on BTN.

Ian Martinez

Watched Ian last night. I kept thinking what an amazing backcourt he would have made with Young. With him we win many of those 7 one possession losses. He would have been a MAJOR upgrade from DHS. Additionally he can create his own shot off of the dribble and makes 3s at a high clip. KW needs to understand that the college basketball landscape has changed so that you build mostly through the portal with proven college basketball players who are older and experienced than high school kids. Even if we land Queen who knows what impact he will have versus a guy like Mast on Nebraska Domask on Illinois, etc.

We're about 15 minutes from tipoff between the Terps and Buckeyes in Columbus.

Obviously, every game is must-win from here on out just to get back into the bubble conversation. Buckeyes are reeling big-time coming into this one, having lost 8 of 9, including blowing a double-digit lead at home in their last game versus Indiana.

Terps come into this one having lost two straight, but a loss tonight to the Buckeyes could spell trouble down the stretch.

Game can be seen on FS1.

Maryland Adds Three High School Standouts During Late Signing Period

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – University of Maryland Head Coach Michael Locksley announced today that three high school standouts have signed national letters of intent to play football for the Terrapins. Defensive back Kevyn Humes, defensive back Shamar McIntosh and defensive lineman Dimitry Nicolas have joined the program during the late signing period, which began on Wednesday.

The trio of new Terps join the 21 student-athletes that inked NLI's during the early signing period in December to make up Maryland's 2024 class, which is currently ranked No. 31 nationally by Rivals.com.

With the addition of Humes, Maryland's 2024 signing class now has six four-star signees as the Terps also inked OL Ryan Howerton, DB Brandon Jacob, DB Braydon Lee, WR Mekhai White and RB DeJuan Williams in December.

leadership

Does anyone think it maybe time to start looking for a new AD? Both our Bb programs are in shambles. The Fb team underperformed. Both Lax programs have not been up to past standards as well as both soccer programs. Finally if you believe the rumors Our NIL program sucks.
Where is the leadership? Think it needs to at least start with the AD. If NIL is the problem that is on him.
BTW the mens Bb game tonight was a disgrace and unwatchable.

We're about 15 minutes from tipoff between the Terps and Sparty in East Lansing.

Obviously, these two teams have seen each other already and recently so we pretty much have an idea of what to expect. The big thing tonight is to do a better job in transition defense to start the game. If they had done a better job with transition defense to start the last game they might have won walking away.

That said, Breslin is one of the toughest places in the country to come away with a win.

Terps will be in the gold unis tonight.
