Checking some stats from last year and at Arkansas State in 2015 Walt Bell's offense through 5 games:
2240 yards on 410 offensive plays (82 plays per game). Average of 5.5 yards a play. Average of 448 yards per game.
Maryland 2016 through 5 games:
2135 yards on 329 offensive plays (66 plays per game). Average of 6.5 yards a play.
Average of 427 yards per game.
I don't know how to compare the two since it is completely different schedules but I just found it interesting.
Walts Offense got better the final 8 games: averaging 499.9 yards a game on 73 plays per game (6.8 yards per play).
The bad news is last year Walt Bell did not play 3 top ten teams back to back to back weeks (2 of which are road games)
