Taking a look at Lunardi's latest Bracketology, he current has the Terps as a No. 5 seed in Hartford playing No. 12 Murray St. and likely top 3 NBA pick Ja Morant. This would be an interesting match up for the Terps. Gary had to play a little known superstar like Morant in 96, for those who remember losing to Steven Nash and Santa Clara in the opening round. I think everyone knows what Nash went on to do with his NBA HOF career.
Morant is a freak athlete and Murray St. is a very good team, but they are going to be really tough to figure out. They haven't beaten anyone worth anything, except maybe Belmont. But the issue is Belmont is in the same boat, they haven't really beaten anyone worth a damn, either. They beat UCLA during their implosion, but I'm pretty sure some middle school teams could have beaten them during that stretch.
But this bracket is an interesting one, if they were able to get by Murray St., they would then play Kansas and likely UVA....in DC. Wouldn't be easy, but you'd think Maryland fans would pack both Hartford and the phone booth.
Anyways, here's a look at the latest bracketology HERE.
