Congratulations to Coach Pensky and forward Jasmine Spencer who was named 1st Team All-ACC. Without question both are exceptionally deserving of their awards.
Only gripe: you mean to tell me that Maryland is the #2 seed in the ACC Tournament and just one Terp is recognized on either the 1st or 2nd Team All-ACC list? Florida State was #4 seed and they get two on the 1st team and FIVE on the 2nd team. Go figure. It says here that defender Colleen Deegan, forwards Sade Ayinde and Ashley Grove, mid/def Caitln McDowell, could all have been considered. You could also make an argument for mid Danielle Hubka or goalie Yewande Balogun.
Silver lining: it shows what a team effort Maryland has put out. You can see more online tonight when they face Duke in the 1st round of the ACC Tournament at 5pm.
