Snap Counts & PFF Grades: Michigan State

Here is the full breakdown of snap counts and PFF grades from Saturday's Big Ten-opening win over MSU. One thing worth noting that isn't in the breakdown, Maryland's defenders seem to be doing a better job of being surer tacklers this season. Feels like in years past they would miss quite a few tackles they shouldn't have. Not really seeing much of that anymore. More at the link below. As for the o-line, it seems like Saturday's line is what they will go with moving forward. Four of the five starters played every offensive snap.

Haven't yet posted about Sparty Win

Work and other stuff going on, but wanted to say great job, we have done everything we should have expected to do, but that doesn't mean it isn't great.

The defensive turnover creation is awesome and we rolled Sparty, but we did get a little lucky with the drop at the end of first half by them and the overthrow of their side open WR in the fourth, each of which could have resulted in 7 and a different game. Gotta clean that up by Oct 7th.

4-0, love it!

The game…

The Terps manhandled a corn-fed B1G team away. Yes, MSU is in turmoil, but they’re not Charlotte or Towson either, although fair-catching the KO was weird.

Stay the course. Start fast next week. Get reps for Billy/ Cam in 3Q/4Q. Don’t look ahead. Focus on IU. Smash them.

Terps got defensive reps to 33 guys at MSU, 21 guys on O. Being deep defensively is huge in this league.

4 penalties. Yay. No sacks allowed, 3 delivered. Multiple hurries, 5 takeaways at East Lansing. Again, they didn’t show all their cards on either side of the ball. Bwill is an innovative DC. Gattis can be innovative also.

Let’s go Terps!
