Bryce McFerson was named among the Ray Guy Award Ray's 8 of the Week, given to the nation's top eight punters of the week.
McFerson excelled in his Maryland debut, helping the Terps to a 50-7 victory over UConn in the season opener. McFerson placed five of his six punts inside the 20-yard line. The Notre Dame transfer racked up a total of 269 punting yards (44.8 yards per punt) across his six attempts, including a career-long punt of 64 yards.
