As Terp hoop fans we have been spoiled by Lefty and then GW. Even Turge had some highly ranked teams although he only had one Sweet 16 appearance (possibly could have had another one after winning the BIG regular season title in 2019-2020 but then COVID shut everything down). Willard is just not getting the job done in 2.5 years. I think he is more suited for a Seton Hall type job but NOT a Maryland type of job. I live in Chicago and just marvel at the success that Brad Underwood is having at Illinois. In addition Illinois can play the Little Sisters of the Poor and the State Farm Center is sold out and rocking not like the Xfinity Center unless we are playing a REALLY good team. Hopefully, Willard can turn it around but his BIG road record is abysmal (not dissimilar to Locks)!
