Alabama’s current NIL/collective money budget has been 33 million so far since 2020/2021 (20 million alone for 2025). Auburn’s budget for 2025 is rumored to be even larger this year than Bama’s. Texas football gave out 5.86 million 2023-2024. They have 10.5 million so far for 2025. This does not include NIL money from private companies such as Dr. Pepper. Ewers makes 1.7 million from that and his backup Manning makes 3.1 million from whomever sponsors him. You gotta be a star for the big companies, but the collective money is going to be tough to raise for the lesser teams and thus be competitive. NCAA needs to have a salary cap. I will say that if UNLV, Indiana, Boise St., BYU, and even Sacramento State can do it, we have some hope and may be able to get some good players and get exponentially better.
