Locks addressed the media one final time this afternoon ahead of Saturday's season opener and answered questions about the Terps and their matchup with Buffalo. I asked about the QB of the defense at the end and it was interesting, Barham, who is quiet by all accounts, is listed as a starting MIKE, but he mentioned Hyppolite as the starting MIKE and one of the vocal leaders of the D. Based on his answer, it sounds like Hyppolite is actually the starting Mike and Barham and Gotay will split time at the WILL spot. That makes a lot more sense to me as I was pretty shocked to see Hyppolite moved over to WILL after starting at MIKE all of last season and supposedly becoming a much more vocal leader this offseason.
