for their first ever win over Italy in history. OK, so it was a friendly exhibition and Italy wasn't at full strength, but neither was the USA: Landon Donovan is injured. This is the first really good result that new coach Jurgen Klinsmann has gotten and it is a great sign. Now if we can just develop a dependable goal scorer.....and Maurice got the start in the midfield, as usual.

I missed that, but I am glad to hear it; Clarence seems to be gradually working his way into the picture and all the better that it happens under a new coach. As the saying goes, he is one of those guys who is managing to hang around....
