Starkville (Miss.) four-star point guard Tyson Carter just committed to Mississippi St.
Carter played his AAU ball for MBA Elite and Omhar Carter (no relation) who is Mario Kegler's guardian. Tyson Carter and Kegler were also AAU teammates.
Obviously, given all of those facts mentioned above, I think this definitely helps Mississippi St. I felt from the beginning they would probably be the biggest hurdle and given this latest development, the hurdle likely just got bigger despite all of the glowing things Omhar Carter recently said about Maryland following their visit.
We'll see how it plays out but I fully expect Kegler's final three to be MSU, MD and IND. The question is can Turgeon close despite the pull to come back home? We should hopefully find out soon.
