I believe sweetspot5521 referred to this around the beginning of June in an earlier post on this site. Probably took them that long to staighten out the paperwork.

Yep, always happens with the overseas athletes. There is the matter of getting them into the country, through the Clearinghouse, getting them settled in, etc etc. Field Hockey Coach Missy Meharg once told me "I don't believe they are coming until I am at the airport and see them getting off the plane."

In the meantime, this recruit helps fill a need on the backline. Yes, we already have some good people back there but you can never have enough good backliners, and our depth was a bit thin. And internationals generally are ready to go early.
