So after speaking with Locks, the coordinators and a number of players, here are some initial thoughts...

- The offense is going to be as good as advertised, if not better. Everyone seems to be on the same page and guys coming back from injury appear to be ahead of schedule.

- Specifically on offense, one player to watch out for is tight end CJ Dippre. It seems he's become a significant part of the passing game and he's been compared to some of the top TE in the league, like Sam LaPorta and former PSU tight end Pat Freiermuth. Dan Enos said he obviously won't run a 4.3 or whatever like Chig did, but he can run a sub 4.7 and has a huge catch radius and is hard to bring down. Paired with Dyches who had a solid season last year, this duo could really surprise people.

- Defense, while they definitley lost some key guys, two guys coming back from injury who should help tremendously are Deonte Banks and Fa'Najae Gotay. Banks, in particular, gives the Terps that bigger, physically corner on the outside that they really lacked last year and allows Tarheeb to move back into the slot where he's more comfortable and a better fit.

- Guys definitely seem excited about Brian Williams now running the defense and calling plays. While you can argue the overall talent of the defense versus last year's team, don't be surprised if the unit is still better this year.

- Chad Ryland seems like a great pickup for the Terps. He's smart, extremely confident and wants to win games with his leg. He had a number of really good opportunities coming off of last season and chose the Terps, in part, because of the explosive offense they had coming back and the chance to score a lot of point and help the team win some games. He mentioned that Zook played a big role in him selecting the Terps and that it was a quick moving process.

The Locks opening presser is uploading now. Will have B. Will and Enos uploaded after that. Have a number of player interviws and then will get a quick look at the opening of today's opening practice.
