Settled in here at Byrd. They started things off a couple of minutes early so will quickly get you caught up here.
Perry Hills got the first reps with the first-team offense and had a nice opening drive. Had a nice third down throw to Malcolm Culmer and hit Levern Jacobs in the left side of the end zone on a designed roll out to the left.
Brandon Ross also ripped off a nice 40+ yard run on a fake draw handoff. Took it right up the middle and got into the second level of the defense.
Daxx Garman got the first reps with the second-team offense. On a read-option fake, hit DeAndre Lane for a nice gain. But the drive stalls when Lane drops the ball on a similar play.
Second possession for Perry Hills with the first-team offense ends in a Will Likely pick at about the 35-yard line as Hills rolls out to the right in the shadow of the goal line and throws one up. Likely runs it back to the 5-yard line.
