After Saturday's showing, this team has simply lost all of it's confidence. But beyond the confidence, this team doesn't seem mentally tough at all right now. Missing shots you might usually make is one thing, but not even attempting to box out or get back in transition defense is something else altogether. Folks have a right to be upset at those types of things.

Fortunately for the Terps, they travel to Rutgers tomorrow night to play a team that, while improved, is still not very good. They've lost 8 of 9 and give Maryland an opportunity to regain some of their confidence and show that they can be mentally tough with their backs against the wall. This team is in a dog fight for that final bye of the B1G tourney and that extra day off, playing next week in DC could really be beneficial.

At this point in the season, teams in the Big Ten know what the Terps are, they are going to zone them and not allow them those easy looks off ball screens. Hopefully they show improvement against these zones leading up to the NCAA tourney. And also remember, this team struggled shooting the ball at times early in the season and got red hot for about an 8 or 9 game stretch before their recent struggles. They can just as quickly find their strokes again and make a run. But this team is going to have to shoot their way to victory because they simply aren't a good rebounding team.
