Pat caught up with Mario Kegler's guardian Omhar Carter to get a recap of their visit to College Park this past weekend and by all accounts, the visit went very well. Mario seemed to enjoy himself, even posing for pics with some young fans after Maryland Madness. But I think the two biggest takeaways are that according to Carter, Maryland will almost certainly be in Mario's top 3 following his Indiana visit and that they really like that Maryland already has a ton of big front court talent that would ensure Mario gets to play his natural position at the 3 and maybe even some 2.
I know I've said this before, but despite initially hearing most of the buzz about Arizona St. and Mississippi St., Maryland appears to be a legit contender for Kegler's services. But I expect that he will make a decision not too long after his final visit to Indiana. So we shouldn't have to wait much longer until we know where Kegler is headed.
