COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland athletics department announced today that the 2017 Maryland Madness Fan Fest will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the XFINITY Center.
Maryland Madness will be Terp fans’ first opportunity to get a look at the 2017-18 Maryland men’s and women’s basketball squads.
Admission to the evening’s activities is free and seating is first-come, first-served. Parking will be free in lots surrounding XFINITY Center.
Fans are also encouraged to attend Maryland volleyball’s game prior to the event, with the Terps scheduled to host #14 Michigan State at 5:30 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and admission to the game will be free for all fans. The match will also be streamed on BTN2Go.
The idea of Maryland Madness, which is celebrated in some fashion by teams all across the country, actually originated on the campus of the University of Maryland.
