With the Gavitt Games schedule leaked a couple of days ago, we learned that the Terps would not participate in the event this upcoming season. That leaves the B1G/ACC Challenge as the last remaining marquee OOC game unless they are able to schedule a home-and-home with another P5 program (lets hope). That said, did learn of one other buy game that will be part of the OOC schedule. Maryland will host Brown out of the Ivy League on Dec. 30. So here is what the Terps' OOC schedule looks like at the moment with one more opening left to fill:
Nov. 9 - Quinnipiac
Nov. 11 - George Washington
Nov. 13 - Vermont
Nov. 17 - George Mason
Nov. 25-27 - Richmond, Louisville/Mississippi (Thanksgiving MTE in Bahamas)
Dec. 1 - B1G/ACC Challenge (Opponent not yet known)
Dec. 12 - Florida (in Brooklyn)
Dec. 28 - Loyola (Md.)
Dec. 30 - Brown
Hopefully they have one more big-time P5 home-and-home in the works and this is a pretty nice OOC schedule. Vermont is the top team in the America East, Mason is always solid, GW brings in some decent transfers and is always a tough out in the A10. Just gotta hope they get a really good opponent for the ACC Challenge, which they should given their lofty preseason rankings.
