I understand that we don’t have the horses in the stable yet but isn’t developing the talent on the actual roster a big part of coaching.
Off the top of my head. Only three names of players on the 2016 roster seemed to improve in 2017.
1. Josh Woods - went from a zero to starting as a senior, made a bunch of big plays. A massive improvement for him to go out with a bang, still not perfect
2. Antoine Brooks - dude had a great spring, and made some impact plays at the beginning of the season.
3. DJ Moore - went from a stud to a superstar. Really feel bad that he couldn’t have a healthy qb.
We returned a lot of the same roster and don’t wanna name any names but can think of at least
4 OLs
2 LBs
2 CBs
That did not improve at all from 2016 or were slightly worse in 2017.
