Layden Blocker, the four-star PG who attends Sunrise Christian out in Kansas, is also visiting Maryland this weekend. He has announced that he plans on committing July 2 after his visits to Maryland, Arkansas and Kansas. We will see how things go on his visit to College Park and see how things shake out after that, but being completely honest, I don't feel great about this one. I think Arkansas and Kansas are the two most likely destinations and I'd probably give the edge to Musselman for the Arkansas native.
With that said, I love Maryland's chances with Elmarko Jackson and I also happen to love his game. I think he's been really underappreciated nationally due to the fact that he was playing lacrosse just a couple of years ago and isn't at a big-time national high school program. He's a kid that already loved Maryland and Kevin Willard so would seem to make sense the Terps have an excellent shot here.
And one other disappointing note, the NBPA Top 100 camp will once again be in Orlando this year. Well, I should say disappointing for me, at least. This is the best event of the summer and C'ville was such a perfect location for anyone in the DMV. For selfish reasons, I hope they move it back up north at some point.
