Football ticketing initiative...

Curious to what people think about this. I am having (choosing) to give up my football season tickets because I cannot justify paying $2200.00 above the cost of tickets to remain in Section 6. In fact, I can't justify having season tickets in football at all...and plan to significantly reduce my giving level...perhaps even walk away from giving to the athletic department entirely. The product is not good and the demand for that kind of money is outrageous for the seat location benefit. I could just purchase the same seats on the secondary market for a $1000 or less. Makes no sense. I am wondering how many major donors and season ticket holders they are losing. I am ranked in the top 1500 of Terrapin Club, but will probably walk away. Of course, I want to support the athletes, but at some point you have to look at the cost and value you are receiving? Help...what do others think...am I the only one questioning the judgment of this plan?
