USC receiver commit Romero Ison shares latest as three others pursue flip candidate

USC commit Romero Ison has a Friday night quarterfinal playoff game before he thinks about the weekend, but he is excited for his trip to Georgia.
The Baltimore Milford Mill receiver begins his official visit Saturday morning but the Bulldogs are not the only team on his mind.
He is committed to the Trojans, made unofficial visits to Maryland and Penn State this season and he is looking at a possible official visit next weekend as well.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Ison is also processing whether or not he signs during the Dec. 4-6.
Georgia extended an offer to Ison in mid September, and getting to the Athens, Ga., campus for an official visit became a priority.
"I want to see how they plan on developing me, how they plan on using me as a receiver," he said. "How can they make me better and what is their plan for sending me to the league (NFL)?
"I love how they are a top competitive team in the SEC. The SEC is probably the best ball in college football so that is a big thing that stands out to me."
Ison was at Penn State for an unofficial visit for the game against Ohio State earlier this month. He is also talking to the Nittany Lions about a possible official visit next weekend for the regular season finale against Maryland.
"I talk to Penn State more than any other school right now," said Ison, whose main contact is recruiting coordinator DJ Bryant. He played at Randallstown (Md.) High, which is less than five miles from Milford Mill.
"He shows a lot of love," Ison said. "He's from Baltimore so that's always good. He knows a lot about where I'm from and the struggles I face every day. Every time I come to (campus) I talk to (receivers) coach (Marques) Hagans but I am just closer with DJ.
"They beat USC and when they played them, they had a lot of passing yards."
The Terps are also in contention.
They hosted him for an unofficial visit last month when Maryland played USC, and he remains in contact with the coaching staff.
"Recently me and Maryland have been in contact a lot," Ison said. "I've been talking to (assistant) coach Aazaar (Abdul-Rahim) a lot and most likely I will go up for an official visit soon. When I went it was a game day visit so an official visit is time to talk other stuff and how they will use me in the offense and, wow, who wouldn't want to stay home."
Meanwhile, the Trojans remain an option. Ison committed to USC in early April.
"As of right now I am still committed, but of course I am taking other visits, looking at other schools," Ison said. "I want to see what other schools are saying. I want to make sure I pick the right school. I don't want to make a bad decision."
