now playing on FSC in a USL game for the Charleston Battery vs. Wilmington Hammerheads. Sean had two years at Maryland before transfering to College of Charleston, so playing for the battery is a good fit close to home. Battery leading this one 1-0. I always appreciate USL ball and am a believer in the potential of the league and it's players -- you see a lot of guys who are on the perifery of making it to the MLS and it happens that these two teams have a lot of young guys who have reasonable hopes of making it. It says here that if American soccer is gong to get where we want it to go, we have to have very good lower division soccer to develop players and also to engage the fans in non-MLS cities who want to see pro ball but unfortunately are living in areas where that isn't feasible at least for now.
