With the early signing period getting underway tomorrow morning, we take a look this morning at where the Terps stand with those already committed, those with Maryland in their final group and possible flip candidates.

Tayvion Land - Despite Land tweeting out yesterday that he will be signing with Maryland during the early period, sources have told us that Land, in fact, will not be inking with the Terps this week. Land should be speaking with Locksley after the dead period. As of now, it is still expected that Land will sign with Maryland during the late period, but as we have already touched on, as recruiting boards change over the next couple of weeks all across the country, other options could open up for him between now and then and put a wrench in things. We will have to see how things play out, but for now, we have been told he will NOT sign with Maryland tomorrow but is still solid to the Terps.

Dino Tomlin - One of the more recent commits, Tomlin tweeted out yesterday that he will be signing with Maryland and we expect that to happen in his case. Tomlin's uncle played at Maryland and his father, of course, is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jordan Houston - The local three-star RB has had Rutgers sniffing around and the Scarlet Knights dispatched staff to check on him last week. But from what we are hearing, Houston should be signing with the Terps during the early period.

Local long-time commits Lavonte Gator and Deonte Banks are both expected to sign with Maryland during the early period. Banks told us that he has recently FaceTimed with Locksley and has been staying in touch with both Brawley Evans and Cory Robinson.

Isaiah Hazel - A recent West Virginia flip, Hazel is expected to sign with the Terps during the early period. The local four-star WR committed to Maryland last week. He was being heavily recruited by Locksley at Alabama and had Maryland in his final group before originally committed to WVU.

Mason Lunsford - We also expect the Terps' most recent commit, a three-star OL from Good Counsel to sign during the early period. Lunsford called Maryland a 'dream offer' before committing to the Terps just days later.

Kam Blount - The local three-star LB had been giving Rutgers a look after committing to Maryland but then appeared to be set on the Terps. Well, we have now learned, per his mother, that Blount will not be signing with Maryland during the early period.

- This leaves QB Davis Summers and DL Deshawn Holt. As of now, we are unsure whether these two will sign with Maryland. Should we hear anything between now and tomorrow morning, we will post here.

As for other flip candidates, here is where things with a couple of key prospects.

- Despite tweeting at other FSU targets to come join him in Tallahassee over the past couple of days, sources continue to tell us that Nick Cross will wait until Feb. to sign and that things still appear to be on the right track for Cross to flip to Maryland at some point over the next mont-plus. Obviously, this would be a huge get for Maryland and this is probably the biggest name to keep an eye on until the late signing period arrives.

- Alabama four-star RB commit Keilan Robinson will not sign this week during the early period. This is good news for the Terps as Robinson is likely to visit College Park immediately after the dead period and Locksley will have all of Jan. to try and flip the St. John's product.

Finally, two names to keep an eye on are Cam Goode and Tre'Mon Morris-Brash. Both St. John's products took official visits to UCF last weekend. In the case of Goode, he was briefly enrolled at Virginia Tech but can enroll early at a new school this winter. Along with visiting UCF, he's also been spotted on campus in College Park over the past couple of weeks. Goode would add solid depth along the defensive line and will choose between Maryland and UCF. As for Morris-Brash, we are hearing he will not sign early and could announce his commitment at the Under Armour All-American game. It is also likely he could take visits in Jan., including a visit to College Park. Goode and Morris-Brash are good friends and if Goode were to commit to Maryland and enroll early, the Terps could quickly become leaders for Morris-Brash.
