It really feels like no one wanted to win the Big Ten title this season. Purdue clinched--really, backed into--the regular season title last night with Wisconsin falling at home to Iowa. The Badgers looked almost like a sure thing to win the title a few weeks back and have now lost 5 of 6 heading into a matchup with Minnesota--the hottest team in the league--to close out the regular season. Purdue still has a tough game remaining at Northwestern to finish out the regular season, although they will be the No. 1 seed next week. Meanwhile, everyone thought Michigan St. was ready to make a run and they lose at Illinois the other night. Still, they are playing some of their best basketball of the season right now.

So what does all of this mean for Maryland? They need to go into tomorrow's game with the mindset that they must win. They win, they are the No. 3 seed. They lose, and they need help. They need Wisconsin to beat Minnesota to hold on to the No. 4 seed. If Minnesota wins, the Terps would drop to the No. 5 seed. So simply put, the Terps need to go out and take care of business tomorrow and not leave things in the hands of others.
