Coming out of the weekend the Terps have already landed commitments from two official visitors in Gooden and Chambers.
I really like the Terps chances still with Kaden Prather and will be shocked if he isn't a Terp in short order. And I am also still feeling pretty good about Miami transfer Avante Williams. As for the JUCO Bishop Fitzgerald, he did not make it in. As I hinted at last week, it seems Maryland has been more focused on Williams and NC State has been prioritizing Fitzgerald since they jumped in last week.
One other key development comes at OL (I know, this is what many of you have been waiting for!). The Terps hosted former Rivals250 OT Marcus Dumervil of LSU yesterday and it seems they have a decent shot with this one. They have seemingly been striking out with some of their top OL targets but Dumervil was a big-time prospect coming out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas who has SEC experience. He played in 10 games with 1 start last year at LSU. If they can land Dumervile and Babalade, that is a nice job of adding some solid pieces up front late in the process. Might still have room for one more, too.
But it shouldn't come as any surprise that the Terps are looking to close out this year's class strong both in the high school ranks and with some big-time transfers.
