It appears that former Boston College basketball player Garland Owens is going to join the Terps football team as a graduate transfer. From what I can gather, he decided earlier this spring he wanted to give football a shot and has been looking into making this a reality. He wants to play WR/TE and at 6-foot-5, 225 with a 45-inch vertical, he has the kind of size and leaping ability that could make him an excellent red zone target. As to whether or not he would be on scholarship, trying to figure that out.
