I am a diehard Terp fan and was delighted with the gutsy win on Saturday. However, I was totally embarassed by the placement of the USC band in the third deck, corner of the stadium visitor's side. This was a deviation from past practice and left the band in the dark for the whole game. I think it was an insult visited upon a group that came 3,000 miles for our football game. I would go so far as to say I wish we could have seen them perform at halftime. I can just imagine where our band would be in the Coliseum when we go there to play the Trojans. It was insulting and we should be ashamed.

I would appreciate someone who could actually hear the ref's call when Maryland intercepted about their 35 and ran the ball back to USC's 42 or so. The first call seemed to return the ball back to Maryland's 35, I believe because the player who intercepted the ball might have thrown it forward. Then the ref's placed the ball on USC's 42 after first placing it on the 47, probably due to a forward fumble. I could not hear any explanation because the announcement was of such poor quality. I may have the yard line estimates off by a bit. However, the ball was moved twice to Maryland's advantage. Can you help me with the call?

I enjoyed watching SC play football back in the day, especially under John McKay, but not so much UCLA.

But now up to 3.5. Vegas doesn't have the renewed enthusiasm of most Maryland fans...
