Yahoo Sports is reporting this morning that Maryland was served with multiple subpoenas over the past couple of months in regards to the ongoing federal probe into the corruption of college basketball.
The documents name Terps assistant Bino Ranson by name and focus on his relationship with an agent runner that was already earlier implicated in the scandal. According to the documents, Maryland officials were subpoenaed and summoned to appear before a federal grand jury earlier this week.
Honeslty, this really doesn't seem to have turned up much of anything new and I don't see anything here that should cause damage to the Maryland program. If anything, I still think this info is more damning for Kansas, who so far has avoided any trouble in this probe.
