The Terps will have a couple of high profile 2023 football visitors on campus this weekend. The first is Rivals250 four-star wideout Santana Fleming of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage. He has a laundry list of big-time P5 offers but the Terps will have a chance to impress him this weekend as he is up here for a 7-v-7 tournament. The Terps will also host four-star Springfield, Ohio wideout Anthony Brown. A former Minnesota commit, Brown recently took unofficial visits to Kentucky and Wisconsin. He also plans on taking unofficial visits to Michigan, Penn State and Purdue. His recruitment is likely to start picking up significantly as he was named the WR MVP at the recent Under Armour camp in Ohio.
Maryland is also expected to host a couple of Rivals250 four-star RB from the 2024 class this weekend. First is Rivals100 back Davion Gause out of Hollywood, Fla. Again, it is a who's who of schools that have offered for Gause, who was a standout at the Florida Rivals Camp Series stop. Finallly, the Terps will host Philly Imhotep Rivals250 RB Tre McCleoud. Again, the competition for this one will be fierce. McCleoud took a recent swing through SEC country, visiting Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia. He's also recently visited Cincinnati and West Virginia. Of course, Imhotep is where DJ Moore went to high school.
