Got a few texts this evening about Walt Bell. While someone here posted the other day that Locksley was done to FSU as their new OC, turns out that wasn't quite a done deal just yet.
As of this afternoon, Bama OC Brian Daboll is headed to the NFL where he is going to take over as the Bills OC. Locksley is now dragging his feet with taking a job on Taggart's staff because it appears he would prefer to remain on Saban's staff as the new OC.
But there appears to be a lot of smoke this evening that Walt could be the guy Taggart is zeroed in on if Locksley passes. No real connection between Walt and Taggart that I'm aware of, but Bell's coach at Middle Tennessee St. is a former Nole and Taggart and Durkin did coach together briefly at Stanford.
