Maryland receiver Rakim Jarrett is making acrobatic catches all over the field and playing like a seasoned vet.
“We know the talent is there,” coach Todd Bowles said. “He can run with the ball and jump and catch as you’ve seen.”
“…we like the athlete we brought in, and he is great to work with.”

The NFC champion Eagles called him wanting to draft him in the 7th round - meaning he could catch passes from Jalen Hurts and only be 2 hours from home - but after consulting with his agent he told them thanks but no thanks.
He and his agent felt the Eagles WR room was more set in stone. He felt like he had a better chance to make the Bucs and got a 225K bonus to sign with Tampa Bay.
(Eagles had pick #249, there were 259 players picked in draft)
As a sophomore he ran 44% of his routes out wide and put up 62-829-5 while as junior he ran 94.6% of his routes from the slot which resulted in just 40-471-3. He will likely primarily play from the slot in NFL. Athletically it’s easy to see his upside, and with his 4.4 40 speed he is a legitimate threat with the ball in his hands. Needs improvement with fewer drops and more contested catches. Sounds like he is polishing his game with more to come…
BTW, hadn’t heard this before but he is the grand nephew of Pro Football HOF Vikings DT Alan Page.
