I was perusing some stats trying to educate myself on Wisconsin and came across a couple of interesting stats for the Badgers.
Wisconsin is tied with Michigan for the fewest points allowed per play by an opponent at .177 points per play. And that number actually dips to .172 points per play over their past three games.
They are also ranked No. 1 in opponent red zone scores per game.
Granted, they haven't exactly played a murderers row, but that does include games against Alabama and Iowa. This defense is right there with Michigan's as arguably the best in the nation.
