Someone mentioned it in another thread, but can confirm that Miami commit Trevon Hill visited Maryland this weekend along with former Virginia Tech teammate Josh Jackson.
Hill was kicked off the team at Tech by Fuente after this year's Old Dominion game, the same game Jackson got hurt. Word on the street is that Hill and Fuente just didn't see eye to eye. But Hill had 5.5 sacks as a sophomore and had 3.5 sacks through just three games last season.
Hill recently signed a grant-in-aid with Miami, without even visiting the school. But that is non-binding and Hill can sign another grant-in-aid with any other school he wants and then enroll at any of those schools. Having played in just three games last season, he would also have two years of eligibility remaining if he is able to graduate. Needless to say, though, this is a huge development, as Hill is maybe the top available D-line transfer. He could have an impact equal to, or even bigger than Cowart did this past season.
