On new kickoff time: Practiced this AM and it was a little rainy so that was probably good practice for Saturday. Says they will lose some meeting time, but that's about it as far as adjustments due to the game being moved up. They just found out a little bit ago about the change.
On weather: Says they have been watching the weather forecast and have game planned around the expected rain.
More on weather: Says if you get the heavy rain, plus wind, plus cold, obviously it could make it difficult to throw the ball. But says they will be ready to adjust to whatever they need to adjust to.
- Says he's glad that the Big Ten and the two schools came up with a plan that looks out for the safety and well being of the fans and to make sure folks aren't having to travel at night in poor conditions.
On the players-only meeting: Says it's good the players took their own initiative to meet and that they care enough to want to play well and care enough about each other to do it. But that's what they want to see out of their leadership and that's why they put the people they did in their leadership positions.
On Evan Mulrooney: He's got great character. He's a good guy, very smart and is a guy that keeps things loose. Says he's excited about the way he's gone about things and is glad he's gotten a chance here in his last year.
On Derwin Gray: He's making progress, but he's got to continue to work and get better. And whenever he's earned the right to see the field, he'll do that. But he's learning just how hard you have to work to play and play successfully at this level.
