The Pioneers return eight players who averaged 20 minutes last season from a team that went 24-6 and won the MEC regular season title. They advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament. Paris McLeod, the reigning league Player Of The Year, is back after averaging 18.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.9 steals per game.
Maryland will host Bowie State in its final exhbition Friday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. at the XFINITY Center.
Maryland will officially open its 2017-18 season on Friday, Nov. 10 vs. NCAA Tournament team Albany. The Terrapins and the Great Danes will tip off at 7 p.m. at the XFINITY Center.
