COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland women's basketball head coach Brenda Frese welcomed Jessica Imhof to the staff this week as the Director of Scouting and Player Development. Imhof comes to College Park after spending the 2019-20 season at North Carolina.
In her time at Chapel Hill, Imhof oversaw the program's scouting responsibilities, organized team film, cut practice and game film, reviewed analytics, drew plays, and had an active role with the Tar Heels' offense and special situations.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jessica to our Maryland family," Frese said. "She has built an incredible resume and is someone who will hit the ground running in our program. She is going to bring so much to our team and program. She is so talented, experienced and advanced in the game and I can't wait to have her by our side day in and day out. She's a rising star and we are so excited she has decided to join our staff to help us compete to be the very best."
Imhof will oversee the Terrapins' advance scouting and game planning, organization of game film and will assist with practice preparation.

Before North Carolina, Imhof worked one season at Princeton University as the Director of Basketball Operations. During the 2018-2019 campaign, the Tigers reached the NCAA Tournament after winning the Ivy League regular season and tournament titles.
Prior to her move to Princeton, Imhof spent three seasons (2015-2018) at Virginia Commonwealth University. She was the Administrative Assistant for four months before being promoted to Video Coordinator for the next three seasons.
Before VCU, she was a two-year graduate assistant for the Elmira College women's basketball team where she was involved in every facet of the program's operation. During her tenure, Imhof served as the program's Recruiting Coordinator and organized national recruiting efforts to bring in back-to-back All-Conference Rookie of the Year selections.
In 2013-2014, Imhof was on the bench of The College of New Jersey's women's basketball team, serving as an Assistant Coach to her alma mater. As an Assistant Coach, she was responsible for the recruitment of players, film breakdown, game preparation, and designing workouts for the perimeter players. She also collaborated with the head coach on decisions during games.
Imhof played four seasons for the Lions, helping them reach the NCAA Division III National Semifinal game in 2009. She was a first-team All-Conference performer and finished her career ranked in the top 10 in numerous statistical categories. She graduated from TCNJ in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Business and a minor in Sociology.
