I get it...no one gives us much of a chance to defeat national champs. However, with that said...

1) Stanford beat UConn very, very early on. Obviously, this was not an indication of where UConn in now, but it proves it can be done.
2) Dayton was leading going into halftime based primarily on the 3-point success. UConn made adjustments and shut them down in second half
3) Somebody has to beat them now or in the future. It may as well be us. We should be looser because no one is really expecting us to do this. Crowd should be on our side to some extent (either ND or SC)
4) Been to or have seen all recent UConn/Md. matchups. Not good. They have really, really big and "lengthy" players.
5) Brenda and crew have time to analyze and regroup before Sunday's game.
6) We have a terrific point guard - Lexie and you need to stop three team members to beat us - not just one.
7) We do well in close games if we can keep it close.
8) We have not lost since losing to ND and Washington State very early on.
9) Literally no one expects an upset and that plays into our hands.-
10) Very formidable task indeed. Should be fun to watch. Whatever happens you have to be very proud of these gals.

Note - two Md. recruits for next year are 5 star Mickey D players showing off skills tonight on ESPNU at 6:30.

Finally, whatever happens, Thanks Brenda and staff - as well as entire team and fans for a great year, as expectations were seriously low after losing Marissa from last years team. Only lose Lauren Mincy so we should be able to roll on again next year with addition of two new recruits in 2015 and new guards in 2016.

What do fellow Terp fans think???
