ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference announced the Maryland women’s basketball team’s home and away conference games for the 2017-18 season Monday afternoon. Dates and times of these games will be announced at a later date.
The Terps are scheduled to host Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio State and Purdue. They will also play home/away matchups with Michigan State, Nebraska and Rutgers. The Terrapins will travel to Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State and Wisconsin.
In the three years since joining the Big Ten, the Terrapins have won three straight Big Ten regular season and tournament titles. They are 58-3 (.951) in conference play, including their nine wins in the Big Ten Tournament.
Head coach Brenda Frese is 82-13 (.863) all-time vs. Big Ten opponents, which includes her time at Minnesota and at Ball State. Maryland is 30-3 (.909) against Big Ten teams at home in XFINITY Center. All are under Frese.
Maryland went 32-3 last year and won its third straight Big Ten regular season and tournament championships. The Terrapins advanced to their eighth Sweet Sixteen under Frese.
