Saturday, November 7, the Terps (2-6/0-4) host the University of Wisconsin (7-2/4-1), hoping to avenge an embarrassing 52-7 thumping last year at the hands of the Badgers in Camp Randall Stadium and notch their first conference win of the season. Terps fans are thankful for what has become something of a rarity: a 3:30 p.m. start, but have widely voiced concern as to how the offense will fare against one of the top scoring defenses in the B1G. As noted by Acting Head Coach, Mike Locksley, the team must cut down on turnovers to beat teams of Wisconsin's caliber.

Both teams come out slowly at the start, and the first quarter passes without a score by either team. A long punt return by Will Likely sets up a field goal by Brad Craddock to give the Terps an early lead; this is answered by a quick Wisconsin touchdown and, later, a field goal of their own to end the half on top,10-3.

Each side scores a touchdown via extended drives in the third quarter, but, in the end, despite improvements in holding on to the ball, the Terps are simply outgunned by their opponent. Wisconsin reaches paydirt one more time in the fourth quarter and flies back to Madison with a hard fought, and deceptively close, 24-10 road win.
