Mark Turgeon was in Virginia yesterday to watch a scrimmage between Oak Hill and Huntington Prep. Oak Hill, of course, features one of Maryland's remaining top targets in Mario Kegler, who begins his final official visit to Indiana today.

By my count, this would be the third time I believe Turgeon has been down in Va. to see Kegler in the past month or so. I believe he was at two open gyms and then this scrimmage. Based on his guardian Omhar Carter's quotes, the Terps are very much in the mix and I think this could very well come down to Maryland, Mississippi St. and Indiana. Baylor seems to be on the outside looking in and Arizona St. seems to have maybe faded a bit.

Kegler led Oak Hill in scoring with 19 points in a 100-69 win over Huntington.

Carter told TSR the other day that after the Indiana visit he'll narrow it down to three schools and Maryland is already among that final list.

"I think Maryland is already in the top three, just being honest with you," Carter told TSR. "Unless something drastically changes, I think they are."

A decision is likely to come not long after his visit to Indiana this weekend.

As I've said numerous times, when Carter talks with us, we definitely get the vibe that Maryland is not only in a good spot, but is right there with Mississippi St.

And one other thing to remember, Oak Hill also features Kenny Nwuba who plays for the same AAU team as Kegler and is coached by Omhar Carter. He also has a Terps offer. And then of course Oak Hill has Baltimore native Montez Mathis on the roster this year, too.
