Turgeon says he was pleased tonight, that was a tough team to coach against. Says he asked them to play defense, play hard and be good teammates.

Says this team had a great week and is making progress.

Says they missed a lot of shots they will normally make. But the one bad thing was the turnovers, says they have to get that corrected.

On starting Diamond Stone: says he had two really good weeks of practice and played really well in the scrimmage. And starting means a lot to Diamond, so since it means more to him he got the starting nod. He showed why he's so special. He dominated inside and eventually he's going to be our starting center so why not do it now. Knew he was going to get into foul trouble but that was to be expected and was true for all of the bigs.

On the subbing: says a lot of it had to do with fouls. Jake picked up three and they did pretty well without him. Says he tried to play certain combinations.

On Dion Wiley, he got an MRI today, he's meeting with the doctor tomorrow. He injured the knee on Thursday.

Says that Rasheed is the team's second best ball handler and played some point tonight and will continue to play some more point. Hopefully they will be able to get the ball in his hands. Says the past couple of national champs have had two starting point guards and that is what the Terps want to do with Melo and Sheed.

On the rebounding, says you can stand around and watch, but they didn't, they fought on the boards, especially on the defensive boards. A lot of it is size, but a lot of it is effort, too.

Says this team is hard to guard, again says he doesn't want to make excuses, but they weren't together all summer. And the one way you can take advantage of your bigs is to throw them the ball. But they are good passers not just in the post, but also out on the perimeter.

On Rob Carter having a second wind: Says he's been out a while so he's just going to keep getting better. He's such a great kid you just want good things to happen for him.

On playing Diamond just 5 minutes in the 1st half: Says he talked to him and said depending on the game, you might not sit with two fouls but tonight it was an easy decision due to the game.
