Pre-tourney availability this morning as the rest of the league prepares to travel to the nation's capital this week for the B1G tourney.

Says they are excited about playing in DC. Delany said that would be part of the deal when they joined the league so it should be fun. Says the league has gotten really good in the last month with lots of great coaches and lots of young teams improving.

Says the layoff is much needed so he's thankful that they don't play until Friday. Says he was going after his guys pretty hard in practice but they had off yesterday and will have off today and they will get back after it tomorrow. But says they are proud of what they have done so they should be confident heading into the tournament.

Says Maryland sold their full allotment and Maryland fans will likely be snatching up tickets. But for Maryland, says as long as they advance, expects the pro-Maryland crowds to continue growing. And says this is an arena they are familiar with having beaten G'town there earlier this season. It's still going to be a neutral court, though. Says it's a positive since they don't have to travel, only miss one day of school. They will just get on a bus the night before and head down to DC.

Says you like going into this tournament with 24 wins because you know you will be in the NCAA tourney, so that takes a lot of pressure off. But they will prepare one game at a time and it's so hard to win this time of year. But they will take it one at a time and do the best they can.

On what they need to work on heading into Friday, says they struggled at home with defense their two games leading up to Michigan St. but got better in the final game. But need to work on defense and rebounding. Still struggled a bit with rebounding against Michigan St. but were improved. Says opponents know what you are going to do this time of year, felt that Michigan St. knew what they were going to do just about every single play they called on Saturday. So it's just about improving your team and doing what you do at the highest level because everyone is going to be prepared for what you do this time of year.

On the middle pack of the league this year, says Minnesota and a few others have made this league really good down the stretch with the way they are playing, including Iowa. Says the Hawkeyes have played really well down the stretch and them making the NCAA tournament would obviously be really good for the league.
