Three-star SF Noah Batchelor is on campus today for a visit. Originally from Baltimore, Batchelor played at Glenelg Country before transferring to IMG Academy. He originally committed to Memphis but decommitted about a week ago. This is a kid who had a ton of interest in Maryland early on and I think was pretty miffed and upset that they just completely stopped recruiting him despite having spots open and a need for shooters. Since backing off his Memphis pledge, he's gotten interest from Maryland and Michigan and also plans to visit Ann Arbor. Pitt was a finalist the last time around but with what a disaster that program is at the moment, not sure how involved they will be. If he can hold off until April to make a decision, I think the Terps could have a real shot here. I also think they could still have a shot with Pitt decommit Judah Mintz if the right hire is made. But a new staff would have to work pretty quickly to try to get in the thick of things. Bino leaving pretty much ended any chances Maryland had with Mintz the first time around. Greg Manning Jr. is leading the charge with Batchelor.
