The annual Under Armour Elite 24 began this week in Atlanta and a few top Terp targets are participating, including Derik Queen, Khani Rooths and Tyler Jackson.

On Queen, the latest I'm hearing is that the Terps are still the team to beat. In a bit of a shocking move, it looks like Flory Bidunga is going to commit to Auburn this weekend at the event. Why does this matter? It means Kansas is likely to try to ramp up their recruitment of Queen. With that said, I've heard some chatter from some plugged in folks that Queen's camp absolutely favors Maryland, but they are also intent to keep the recruiting process open to drive up a bigger NIL deal. I'll say it again, as of right now, I still believe Queen will be a Terp, but this recruitment is going to drag on just a big longer. As for his play on the court, he's continued to dominate once again this week and went toe-to-toe with Bidunga from what I've heard from multiple people who are at the event. He's ranked 20 nationally right now but I'd be pretty shocked if he doesn't finish in the top 10 when it is all said and done.

As for Khani Rooths, he told Jason Jordan that he'll begin taking visits next month and one of those visits will be to Maryland. The Terps will have to battle it out to get a commitment, but getting him on campus for a visit is an important step if you want to land a top kid and they are set to host him next month. Other schools expected to get visits include Michigan, Miami, Virginia Tech and FSU. He did take an official visit to UGA during the summer. He's an elite scoring wing that can be used a number of ways.

Finally, Tyler Jackson is one of the younger guys at the Elite 24. He's currently ranked in the top 20 of the 2025 class and will be a priority for a number of schools, including Maryland. He needs to fill out some, but he's got good height and length and can shoot the cover off the ball. He's extremely skilled, can score from all three levels and has good vision. Obviously, Willard is going to make a run at Boogie Fland and Mustaf, but Jackson could very well end up the top priority in 2025 for the Terps.
