As you can see, I think it's fair to say that this commitment is going to have an impact on a number of other highly touted recruits. The number one player on that list possibly being Trevon Diggs.
Two other players that I think this could have a big impact on are Terrance Davis and Naseir Upshur.
While many have already penciled Terrance Davis in as part of Maryland's class, several folks I've spoken with recently believe Michigan is in a very good spot for him. Again, I don't think this commitment is much of a surprise to Terrance, but with Haskins having made his announcement I think this helps and Haskins will be helping the staff as they continue to recruit him hard.
In the case of Upshur, again, I've heard Michigan is in a good spot, but the one team I keep hearing not to count out is Maryland as DJ Moore and his family are very influential. With Haskins now on board and Upshur having said in the past that he'd like to play with Haskins, I think this could really move the Terps up here.
With Haskins on board, Maryland now has two of the top three players in the state of Maryland. They are in pretty good shape with Davis, Ellis, Diggs, Simms and Jordan. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Terps land all five of those players. If they were to do so, that would give the Terps 7 of the top 11 players in the state. That would be quite a feat and a huge building block for keeping players in-state in future classes.
